Declared and measured values

Every DoP declares reaction to fire and lists the other characteristics of EN 13162 as NPD. Each section sets the declared value against what the test reports measured, and the route to a declared value.

Facings

Facings under the EN 13162 scope

Unfaced	EN 13162 clause 1: the standard covers factory made mineral wool products with or without facings or coatings.
Aluminium foil facing	EN 13162 clause 1 covers products with or without facings or coatings. Clause 3.1.6 defines a facing as a surface layer less than 3 mm thick and names metal foil among the examples.
Glass fibre tissue facing	EN 13162 clause 1 covers products with or without facings or coatings. Clause 3.1.6 defines a facing as a surface layer less than 3 mm thick, for example paper, plastic film, fabric or metal foil.
